Smart lock

Door thickness Fingerprint Keypad Key override Batteries Thumbturn Motor

A fingerprint, card or code releases the motor, which throws the same bolt a mechanical case would. The keyway on the outside plate and the thumbturn inside stay live, so the door still works with a flat battery.
